The aim of the preparation of the third report on future cooperation between Estonia and Finland is to offer a fresh vision and explore new opportunities and forms of cooperation. This would create greater synergy between the countries and help meet new global challenges together.
The report will be prepared jointly by February 2022 by Jaak Aaviksoo on behalf of Estonia and Anne-Mari Virolainen on behalf of Finland with support from the foreign policy institutes of both countries.
The kick-off of the report presents an opportunity to take stock of the highlights and focus areas of Estonian-Finnish cooperation today, and present the concept and roadmap for the next report.
Speakers include Estonian Foreign Minister Eva-Maria Liimets and Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto and co-authors from both countries – Jaak Aaviksoo and Anne-Mari Virolainen.
The discussion is moderated by the Kristi Raik, Director of the Estonian Foreign Policy Institute at the ICDS, and Sinikukka Saari, Senior Researcher at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs.
