Documentary To Share or Not Share (directors Minna Hind and Meelis Muhu) will be screened at European Film Weeks on Nov 19 at 17.00.
Mark, an earnest idealist who longs to live outside the constraints of capitalism, gives up a successful career as a squash coach in London to reinvent himself in Estonia. He tests his theories by living without money, volunteering his time, bartering tantric “energy sessions,” and launching the Tallinn Sharing Community, a grassroots organization for the exchange of skills, experiences, food and love.
The theme for European Film Weeks this year, inspired by the main priorities of the new Commission, reads: ”A Sustainable and Green Europe”. Fighting climate change, protecting the environment, striving for sustainable development, protecting biodiversity: all important issues for people of all ages in these days.
The event is organized by the European Commission Representation in Finland and the European Parliament Liaison Office in Finland, together with the embassies and cultural institutes of EU countries.
Tickets are distributed in the Eurooppasali (Malminkatu 16, Helsinki) entrance hall one hour before each performance begins. All films have subtitles in English.
The event is free of charge.
