The first spring event features Kitty Florentine, a rising star in Estonian pop music. Kitty Florentine’s debut album Maladaptive Daydream, released a few years ago, was nominated for Indie/Alternative Album of the Year at the 2023 Estonian Music Awards and has since garnered international attention.
In a remarkably short time, she has performed at prestigious events such as New York’s Performa Biennial, Oslo’s Øyafestivalen, and Budapest’s Sziget Festival. She has also showcased her work at leading festivals across Europe, including Tallinn Music Week, Liveurope in Prague, What’s Next in Music in Vilnius, MENT Ljubljana 2024, and Eurosonic, Europe’s largest showcase festival.
Kitty Florentine describes herself as an experimental artist who expresses her creativity through multiple art forms. She crafts cinematic, atmospheric soundscapes and emotionally evocative songs, blending elements of pop and jazz with remarkable skill. Visuality plays a key role in her artistic expression, as her stage costumes are unique, meticulously designed pieces that add a striking dimension to her performances.
Prepare to be captivated by Kitty Florentine’s immersive performance, where you can expect laughter, tears, dancing, and drama. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind experience!
The Music Talsinki club series in Helsinki is organized in collaboration by Jazz Estonia, the Embassy of Estonia in Finland, and G Livelab Helsinki, with support from the Estonian Ministry of Culture and the Estonian Cultural Endowment.
